Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA)
For people in the community with very high support living needs, securing suitable housing can be a challenge. The Australian Government recognised this and launched a new funding grant as part of the National Disability Insurance Scheme – called Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA). The SDA is available for Australian residents with extreme functional impairment or very high support needs.
The NDIS provides financial support through the SDA to help people with a disability to access a permanent home specifically to suit their needs.
The initiative has opened up a whole new world of possibilities for those with living with a disability. However, it is important to understand that the Government isn’t responsible for locating and finding the home for a participant, nor does it prepare the professional building and compliance plans required through the registration process.
We will provide you with a full briefing on the SDA and discuss your eligibility. Should you be eligible, we then help you to navigate the SDA registration process and present to you our available range of completed or prospective SDA project location options.
Our expert team consists of SDA participant and Australia’s voice of physically impaired persons – Perry Cross AM, as well as trusted property development and investment group – Ray Group and award-winning home builder, Australasian Homes.
